Artist Statement

My artwork explores identity, perspective, and the unseen social frameworks that shape how people experience the world. Through figurative painting and mixed media, I create work that challenges assumptions and invites viewers to engage with unfamiliar perspectives. Influenced by my experiences as an immigrant, veteran, and educator, my practice centers on adaptation, empathy, and giving visibility to overlooked voices and experiences.
